If you have a bridge you need to burn Baby, I will light the fire If you need to crawl 100 miles I’ll be crawling beside yah Sure we’ll toast and laugh and sing and fight and hang around and chill Rough times need me right by your side, then stay you know I will If the most that you can do, is not the best that can be done I and maybe others can, can help you put away that gun If you need a friend at 3 AM You’ve got my number dialed If you need someone to stick around When you’re slowly breaking down When you cant handle life no more I will surely help you fight If you can’t see the tunnel’s end, we’ll drive till it gets bright If the most that you can do, is not the best that can be done I and maybe others can, can help you put away that gun Your gun may not be alcohol, Your job, your drug, your girl I will walk or drag you quickly back, Right to the holy world If you need a slap upside the head I will let you choose the side If you’re falling through some soft concrete I won’t let you fall behind If the most that you can do, is not the best that can be done I and maybe others can, can help you put away that gun If you need a friend at 3 AM You’ve got my number dialed If you need someone to stick around When you’re slowly breaking down When you cant handle life no more I will surely help you fight If you can’t see the tunnel’s end we’ll drive till it gets bright If the most that you can do, is not the best that can be done I and maybe others can, can help you put away that gun

Have a capstone thought on your deathbed Apologize for the dumb things that you said Learn to shoot a bow and arrow Maybe climb mount Kilimanjaro There’ll be lots that you wont get to There’ll be lots left undone As for now its up to you Take a normal day and make it fun If you’re up on Kilimanjaro Disregard the foolish remedies Breathe the air deep into your lungs Hum loud go ahead and sing with ease There’ll be lots that you wont get to There’ll be lots left undone As for now its up to you Take a normal day and make it fun So skip along the straight and narrow For tomorrow will be brand new You’re gunna find yourself along the way And you’ll find what you gotta do There’ll be lots that you wont get to There’ll be lots left undone As for now its up to you Take a normal day and make it fun Don’t have a capstone thought on your deathbed Apologize for the dumb things that you said Learn to shoot a bow and arrow And Maybe climb mount Kilimanjaro There’ll be lots that you wont get to There’ll be lots left undone As for now its up to you Take a normal day and make it fun

Angry Red 03:24
We’re motivated by angry red He said, she said, they said Everybody saw that coming he’s dead Stop blaming everyone else but me my fault now I see I can move about now more openly I, looking through the eyes of my friends My eyes dead end Cant see beyond where my own road bends Gone, gonna make my way out of here Gotta stifle all my fear Gonna hit the gas and leave in full gear We’re motivated by angry red He said, she said, they said Everybody saw that coming he’s dead Stop blaming everyone else but me my fault now I see I can move about now more openly I, looking through the eyes of my friends My eyes dead end Cant see beyond where my own road bends Gone, gonna make my way out of here Gotta stifle all my fear Gonna hit the gas and leave in full gear We’re motivated by angry red He said, she said, they said Everybody saw that coming he’s dead Stop blaming everyone else but me My fault now I see I can move about now more openly I, looking through the eyes of my friends My eyes dead end Cant see beyond where my own road bends Gone, gonna make my way out of here Gotta stifle all my fear Gonna hit the gas and leave in full gear Change, peel away from the same old same I blame, you blame, they blame I’ll take blame if it helps end this game We’re motivated by angry red He said, she said, they said Everybody saw that coming he’s dead Everybody saw that coming he’s dead Everybody saw that coming he’s dead

Find yourself off track, consider, taking one or two steps back to get a look at your best path to take to get yourself back on track Pin in your skin, shot in the dark Bottle of booze, missing your mark A daily binge drinker that you are A lazy fringe thinker that you are It’s not what you might guess about me Before I met you there was a mess about me Don’t like what that says about me Says more about you than it says about me Shot in your skin, pin in the dark, Bottle of miss, boozing your mark A daily binge thinker that you are A lazy fringe drinker that you are It’s not what you might guess about me Before I met you there was a mess about me Don’t like what that says about me Says more about you than it says about me It’s not what you might guess about me Before I met you there was a mess about me Don’t like what that says about me Says more about you than it says about me Find yourself off track, consider, taking one or two steps back to get a look at your best path to take to get yourself back on track

Stir the Pot 04:49
In my mind I stir the pot I hope this time I learn to stop Next time someone comes along Or something else that does me wrong Unto them as I would do the same Expect it back, and well, then I'm to blame But I can’t go on pretending this way, Like training two fish on a bicycle In my mind I stir the pot and I hope this time I learn to stop Next time someone comes along Or something else that does me wrong I hope I would really just not care Not a cross that I would have to bear Cuz I can’t go on pretending this way, Like training two fish on a bicycle In my mind I stir the pot and I hope this time I learn to stop Show the way to make it go away Can’t you see I don’t have time to play Cuz I can’t go on, pretending this way, Like training two fish on a bicycle

Bad Guy 03:58
Every time we fight, you’re not always right, Can’t take the shame, need to share the blame This just can’t work I don’t want to be the bad guy I can’t always be your bad guy I don’t want to be the bad guy So tired of playing the bad guy As time comes to pass, can’t make this last, Something’s gotta change, been feelin’ so strange Stuck in this role I don’t want to be the bad guy I can’t always be your bad guy I don’t want to be the bad guy So tired of playing the bad guy So does it cross your mind to leave me behind, Or to give me up, or just be upfront But will this change? I don’t want to be the bad guy I can’t always be your bad guy I don’t want to be the bad guy So tired of playing the bad guy I don’t want to be the bad guy I can’t always be your bad guy I don’t want to be the bad guy So tired of playing the bad guy

All of the time, so long ago All of the thoughts, I can’t let them go The same old past That same old end The same old costs The time just wont bend Seems the past called after all, and there’s no update there Your cards are laid, your cards are played and now your hand is done Past dragging, future lagging, waiting there for fun It’s now your move, stand still or groove, stuck with the choice of one All of my wants, can’t let them grow All of my dreams, can’t let them show The same old past That same old end The same old costs The time just wont mend Seems the past called after all, and there’s no update there Your cards are laid, your cards are played and now your hand is done Past dragging, future lagging, waiting there for fun It’s now your move, stand still or groove, stuck with the choice of one

I don’t think I belong here I don’t think I belong here I don’t think I belong here As she limps away from the wishing well Tosses a coin in the depths to dwell Eyes forward not sure where her money fell She thinks I don’t belong here Off in the rooms of a distant castle Its now more a hindrance and a hassle Tending to all that’s now and all that’s near She thinks I don’t belong here She’ll try going back to the city places Maybe with some luck meet the friendly faces Finding the wrong feel and the wrong paces She thinks I don’t belong here I don’t think I belong here I don’t think I belong here We’re always searching yeah, we’re always finding a place we don’t belong, a place we don’t belong We’re always searching yeah, we’re always finding a place we don’t belong, a place we don’t belong We’re always searching yeah, we’re always finding a place we don’t belong, a place we don’t belong You just think you don’t belong I don’t think I belong here I don’t think I belong here He sits at the keys and feels a swell The last verse he knows will be short as hell Call it quits he thinks that he might as well He thinks I don’t belong here I don’t belong here I don’t belong here I don’t belong here I don’t think I belong here I don’t think I belong here

I know you want to cover much more ground The ground isn’t covered all that well now You better slow down You’re gunna go down You’re not sure about how big a sound Muted mouth ideas ideas end up so lost and found Gotta make a choice Gotta raise your voice People get nasty spewing their hate Staying up hours much too late You gotta ignore You gotta be sure We all know life gets crazy sometimes Whirlwind speed makes your head fly You gotta shut up You better look up I know you want to cover much more ground The ground isn’t covered all that well now You better slow down You’re gunna go down

With no sense of direction I’m forever losing my way Please tie a string from your heart to mine Even in the darkness I’ll feel the tug of your heart And find my way With no sense of direction I’m forever losing my way So please tie a string from your heart to mine Following the heart string I know that I’ll be fine And find my way

about

About Time's original music merges syncopated rhythms and a combination of funk, jazz, blues and rock. Over five years of writing, revising and playing out, they have created their own unique blend of those styles. Their first album, "I Don't Think I Belong Here," represents the culmination of that process.
